The types of fish we will likely encounter in the Florida Bay backcountry and the Everglades National Park are bonefish, tarpon, permit, redfish, snook, snapper, sea trout, shark and more. We target these fish with high-quality, light-to-medium spin tackle. I welcome all ages and skill levels. If you’ve never held a fishing rod, I’ll make sure you have a great time learning how. And if you’re an experienced angler, I’ll provide you with the tackle and the local expertise needed to catch a memorable fish.

Backcountry trips are also popular with wildlife enthusiasts looking to witness nature in its most untouched form. The Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the country. On any trip you may spot porpoises, manatees, crocodiles, eagles, sea turtles and a variety of bird and plant species  seen nowhere else in the world. Time stands still in the remote Everglades backcountry.

My backcountry boat of choice is a Pathfinder Pro 24' custom. Pathfinder launched the bay boat revolution nearly two decades ago and has been surpassing all expectations ever since. Some of my custom modifications include a dual-station spotting tower, all new electronics including, NSS-12 Evo3 Simrad displays, 4G Simrad radar, autopilot and SIRIUS weather. I've also installed a new 36 volt GPS assisted trolling motor for stealthy fishing in shallows and mangroves, an extra-large live bait well, 10' power poles on the transom for easy, silent anchoring, bright LED lighting for night-time tarpon fishing, an expanded fishing deck, and lastly, a rigging table in the stern, all powered by a Suzuki 300hp high-performance 4-stroke outboard motor. It's the perfect fishing machine.
